Rick, Can’t thank you enough for all your help and hospitality. The kids (and the dads) had a great time. Every phase of your operation is well-stocked with quality people and please pass along our thanks to them. We hope to see you again during deer season! Best regards, Jim Williams

I just wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful time on our Bison hunt. The accommodations were more than adequate, the animals beautiful, and the experience amazing. It was a fantastic event from start to finish and everybody we dealt with was very personable, pleasant, and knowledgeable. The animals were first rate, and the trophy bull taken on our trip was nothing less than marvelous. The taxidermy shop informed us that the trophy was one of the largest bison they had ever received and that the horns on both animals were some of the largest that had been brought to their shop in a LONG time. The hides were in great shape when we brought the hides to them and now it’s just a waiting game until the hides will be finished as rugs. Like advertised, the bison meat is fabulous. Even though they were older bulls, the meat was still very lean and clean tasting. I didn’t taste any “gameness” flavor in the hamburger at all and was very grateful for that. Overall, I now feel like the entire “bison experience” is a truly unique experience that everybody should take part in at least once in their lifetime. We are very excited about your upcoming 2007 deer season and hope to setup some dates as soon as possible. If deer hunting on your ranch is anything like the time spent hunting bison, I’m sure we will not be disappointed. Thanks again for a great hunt!

I recently had the opportunity to hunt bison at your ranch South of Abilene TX. I arrived at the camp and was greeted by Rick Worley. Rick had me fill out the necessary forms and we were off. We drove for a little ways and had found a lone cow. Rick said I could take it if I wanted, but he really wanted to find me a good young bull. Sounded reasonable to me, so off we were again. We drove for around an hour (the herd was being rather elusive that day) until he saw a good set of tracks from the herd. We took off after the herd and found them about 20 minutes later. While we were watching a couple of young cows; a yearling bull stepped into view about 30 yards away. I cocked my Sharps, took aim and fired. The bull winced, looked straight at me, and walked into the trees. We waited for a few minutes until we heard the bull fall and went looking. We found the bull at the edge of a clearing by a small ravine, where Rick took several pictures, then congratulated me on the kill. Call me hokey, but while Rick was up calling for a tractor, I knelt at the bulls head, pulled out a cigarette and emptied the tobacco on the ground by its nose. I silently thanked the great bison for allowing me to set its spirit free, then walked up with Rick. Awhile alter, Larry Pitcox showed up with the tractor and they went to work preparing the bison for the processing plant. Mr. Ledbetter, you truly have a class A operation, and with true professionals such as Rick and Larry running things makes it even better. The experience I had there was the absolute best one could ever ask for. I do plan on hunting there again, and will spread the word about the ranch in hopes to bring even more business to your ranch. Thanks again for a truly outstanding experience, ROBERT W. HASTINGS, TSgt, USAF (Ret)

First of all Will, Hunter and myself had a blast. We have traveled a lot of places to harvest a number of animals but this was a first. We would do it again in a heartbeat, even if only for the freezer. Sometimes you feel like hunting real hard and sometimes not. Rick and his crew can taylor it to your specifications. We prefer to stay in camp and socialize and cook with the other hunters and they are pretty well set up for this. As far as the compound goes, having stayed in a few facilities similar to this when I was younger, I found the compound to be more than adequate. Also, they went beyond the call of duty by taking Hunter and Kim on a horseback ride. It is nice to know Rick and his crew really know game management, care about the land, and live what they talk. If you have an opportunity, you need to visit Buffalo Mountain Hunts. Sincerely, Phillip Youngblood
