WOW… What a hunt! We had agreed to get out of the blinds at 10:00am. So at 9:55 I was heading for the woods to – - -. A Tom spotted my movement and clucked, questioning my presence. Using a bush to hide me, I stepped back for my gun then back to the bush for coverage. Oh no…I forgot my face net! Back to the blind. Like it mattered at this point. I had an entire bush to hide behind, but who’s thinking? I had a turkey in my lap. I couldn’t get back to the blind because it was a strong-built pop-up duck blind and I didn’t have time to re-enter and close it before the bird was on me. I knelt behind my “now favorite” bush and waited for him to come around. There he was! Not as big as I would have liked for my FIRST TURKEY, but the story that will accompany the hunt is a killer. POW… It was a nine-inch beard, not too shabby! Never did get to — in the woods. Buffalo Mountain Hunts is an awesome place to hunt. I can’t wait to get the big buck this November. Rick, hunting all over the country, and filming hunts, I need a reliable place to hunt turkeys. Buffalo Mountain Ranch is by far the best place to hunt Rio’s I have seen. This spring we had 5 kills on video in three days. Thanks and see you next spring. Kevin Pyles
