It was 12-21-2009 the last evening of my 3 day hunt. I slipped in my ground blind were I had seen two shooters the day before. The first deer came in about 5:30 a spike and a 4pt. They fed on the corn at the feeder for a few minutes when I noticed a good buck walking out of the cedars about 75yds away. He looked around checking the area and headed straight to the feeder. As he started to feed on the corn I waited for him to turn broadside. I ranged him at 36yds drew my bow picked a spot and torched one off. My arrow found its mark – both lungs. He turned and ran back where he came from I heard him crash just off the field. After about 5 minutes I went to find my arrow. The blood covered arrow was lying in a cactus patch. Shortly after, I found my buck about 10yds off the field. So Rick, Tammy, Yerger, and Mr. Ledbetter – thank you for a hunt of a lifetime. I will be back – Looking for a bigger one next time.
