Brent GriffithWhen we got to the ranch we met up with Rick. He went over everything and showed us around. He set us up in some awesome ground blinds and I saw some good deer and a herd of turkey. Back at camp that evening I talked to Rick and asked him where I should go for a good morning hunt. He set me up on a crossing by a fence with no corn or wheat, just a draw. I’m sitting there in a tripod and about 8:15 I see 2 doe headed right to me so I got ready to shoot a doe. I moved to the right just a hair and my chair made a noise. They stopped and looked my way for about 10 minutes. Then something caught their eye past me coming from behind my stand. The does turned around and took off so I slowly turned my head to see what it was and it was this nice mature 8 point. He was moving fast so I didn’t have much time. When I drew back my bow hit a limb and he stopped 30 yards broadside. I released and my arrow blew through his front shoulder. My arrow was covered and I knew I hit him good. We got back to camp to get Rick and then went to look for him. We found him 60 yards away in the creek. This is my best buck with a bow and I will never forget it. I want to thank Rick and Tammy for making this hunting trip the best I’ve ever had. I can’t wait to come back and I will be coming for many more years. Brent Griffith
