RANCH and HUNTING RULES

ENJOY:

We want you to enjoy the ranch; have the best hunting experience and camp visit possible.

Respectfully, our rules help us provide you with a safe and enjoyable hunt.

Your participation in these rules is appreciated and necessary for the common good.

ORIENTATION UPON ARRIVAL:

You will be greeted at the camp and receive information regarding Hunting, Lodging & Camp, Ranch & Hunting Rules, and the Ranch in general.

You will receive a Ranch Hunting Map, and a Release and Rules form to read and sign.

During this time, you will have the opportunity to write your name on your arrows.

RANCH:

Entering and Exiting: Please make sure the front gate closed and locked properly.

Do not remove any artifacts (arrowheads, antlers, skulls, rocks, etc.) from the Ranch.

Observe all Texas Parks and Wildlife rules.

ELK, BUFFALO, TAGGED DEER

Elk and Buffalo range freely on the ranch and are not to be hunted.

Shooting these animals will result in minimum fines of $2,000. – $7,500.

Do not shoot “EAR TAGGED” deer.

Shooting these animals will result in minimum fines of $5,000. (ear tagged does) and $7,500. (ear tagged bucks) depending on the bucks size and genetics.

HUNTING:

You are limited to shoot only the animals you have paid to hunt. Restrictions apply.

A $500. fine will be assessed for any buck not meeting the minimum requirements.

Any wounded deer will be counted as one of your total; You cannot shoot another in its place.

Only mature does may be taken. Do not shoot young, small does.

Archery Only(no crossbows allowed)

There is no varmint hunting allowed after dark during deer season.

There is no driving on the ranch, after the evening hunt, (other than to leave from and return to the ranch) unless authorization is obtained by one of the hunting managers.

If you adversely affect any hunter by your actions, you will be fined $100 and possibly be asked to leave the ranch, forfeiting your hunt without a refund.

Your name must be written on all your arrows -marking them.

After orientation, if you are caught with an unmarked arrow your hunt will be immediately forfeited, without a refund.

Safety is required. Anyone acting in an unsafe manner with any weapon may be asked to leave the ranch.

VEHICLES:

Hunter’s vehicles must be parked from: Morning – 30 minutes before daylight to 9:00 AM and Evening – 4:00 PM until dark.

Do not drive “fast or loud” on the ranch.

Do not shoot from vehicles or use vehicles to aid in hunting whitetail or turkey.

STANDS, BLINDS AND FEEDERS:

Do not remove any ranch hunting chair from any stand or blind.

Most blinds have chairs but you are responsible for your own hunting chair.

Do not “move or relocate” any of the ranches stands or blinds.

Do not tamper with, reset, or move any feeders.

Do not leave trash in your blind, hunting area, or on the Ranch outside of camp.

Smoking is limited to designated areas only.

Trash includes; cigarette butts, cans, bottles, wrappers and papers, scent bottles, etc.

CAMP AND LODGING:

Please clean up after yourself, dining, etc.

Please do not leave trash in your bunkhouse room.

Smoking in designated areas only.

 There will be both field tip and broadhead targets for you to practice your shooting.( Please make sure which tip and target your shooting.)

Please  bring your animal to camp to field dress, do not field dress in your hunting area.(This way we can keep up our records for weight of the animals.)

Alcohol consumption is limited to the camp area only.

All firearms must be unloaded before they are brought into the camp area.

Safety must be practiced at all times.

LOST AND FOUND:

The ranch is not responsible for any items lost or left by a hunter or visitor.

However, we make every effort to return items found.

We appreciate our hunters help with this effort.

We ask our hunters to turn in any item found, so we can return it to the proper owner.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

If you cancel at least 15 days prior to your hunt and rebook in the same hunting season, your deposit will be credited to the new hunting date.

We make every effort to work with your schedule and re-book you in the same season.

VIOLATIONS:

Violations of our rules could result in; fines, being asked to leave the ranch, or cause you to forfeit your hunt with no refund.

NOTE:

This is a working ranch with oil production, etc. Vehicle traffic, including 18-wheelers, is common. The deer are not bothered by the traffic.
